Why 75 Kind
A missed day was never the end.
A challenge that resets to zero on one missed day isn’t testing discipline. It’s testing luck — whether seventy-five days pass without a fever, a funeral, a flight that lands at three in the morning. Most people lose that bet, and most of them quit the day they lose it.
So 75 Kind asks the question first. Before day one, you say what a missed day should cost: a grace day, a freeze, or a week started over with your first ten days kept. Then the app holds you to your own answer, which is a very different thing from holding you to someone else’s. The name is the whole idea. Seventy-five days, and kind about the one that goes wrong.
Melonie
The one who asks.
Melonie is the voice at the start. She asks what you want to work on, what a day needs to include, whether you’re starting today or already on your way, and what should happen when you miss a day — four questions, out loud or typed, and your answers become your missions.
She listens on the phone, not on a server: the words you say are understood by the device and go nowhere else. She was built that way because a challenge is a private thing, and the person setting it should be able to say the real reason without anyone overhearing.
The paintings
A trail, not a table.
Seventy-five days on a grid is a spreadsheet. Seventy-five days along a painted trail is a walk, and a walk has a place you’re going. Each scene is painted twice, for day and for night, and the sky over it is drawn from your own weather — the sun where it is, where you are.
Summit is the first scene and always free: a cabin, a forest, a moonlit peak. New York and Antigua came next, and more are on the way. Change the scene whenever you like; the same seventy-five days are drawn somewhere else, and nothing about your progress changes.
